ICL5102 Series

This 100W reference design focuses on demonstrating the great power quality and the supreme high frequency performance of the half-bridge (HB) driver withICL5102and the cost-efficientCoolMOS™ P7family. It fully utilizes the applicable frequency range supported by this HB driver, so as to achieve a highly compact LCC transformer. This transformer integrates the series inductance of the LCC resonance tank. Through this high power density transformer design, significant system-level cost down and size reduction driven by the high frequency operating capability can be realized. The REF_ICL5102_U100W_LCC is a 100W LED power supply with constant current output in a voltage range from 55 V down to 20 V. Features include a wide output current range from 1.82 A down to 0.018 A, a wide analog dimming level of 100 percent down to 1 percent, fast time-to-light of 50 0ms in the worst case, a high power factor of more than 0.9 above 30 percent load at 267 VRMSand an input current THD of less than 10 percent above 20 percent load at 267 VRMS.
