78Q2123 Series
The 78Q2123R/F is a MicroPHY 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX fast Ethernet transceiver in 32 pin QFN package. This device provides IEEE 802.3 media independent interface (MII) to the system media controller, it operates with 3.3V supply requirements and eliminates the need for 1.8V regulators or additional voltage conversion capacitors. The 78Q2123 device includes an integrated MII, ENDECs, scrambler/descrambler, dual-speed clock recovery and auto-negotiation functions. The transmitter includes an on-chip pulse shaper and a low-power line driver. The receiver has an adaptive equalizer and a baseline restoration circuit required for accurate clock and data recovery. The transceiver interfaces to Category-5 unshielded twisted pair (Cat-5 UTP) cabling for 100BASE-TX and Category-3 unshielded twisted pair (Cat-3 UTP) for 10BASE-T applications. It is designed to meet the growing demands of non-traditional networked applications such as game consoles, set-top boxes and digital TVs.
