General part information
IR3883 Series
The IR3883 IR MOSFET™ IPOL is an easy-to-use, fully integrated and highly efficient monolithic DC/DC regulator. The on-chip PWM controller and MOSFETs make IR3883 a space-efficient solution, providing accurate power delivery. The IR3883 employs an Enhanced Stability engine that makes it stable with ceramic capacitors without compensation. IR3883 can operate in Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM) or can enter Diode Emulation mode during light loads to save power. With ultra-light loads, IR3883 can enter a low quiescent current mode making it ideal for Standby power supplies. It features important protection functions, such as Pre-bias startup, internal soft-start, hiccup overcurrent protection and thermal shutdown to give required system level security in the event of fault conditions.
