The 5749621-5 is a 50-way 2-row IDC D-sub Plug with gold over nickel plated phosphor bronze contacts and tin-nickel alloy plated steel shell. This series III connector comes with latch blocks, black thermoplastic housing and accepts 30 to 28AWG round jacketed cable. The shielded AMPLIMITE .050 series headers with action pin contacts offer a high-density D type interface and a solderless board-mount interconnection. The beam characteristics of the pin are designed so that a plastic, as well as elastic, deformation takes place during insertion. The two spring members compress to different degrees to accommodate hole tolerances.
