FMA-1608A
FMA-1608A is a FMA-1600A series mass and volumetric flow meter. It utilizes the principle of differential pressure within a laminar flow field to determine the mass flow rate. A laminar flow element (LFD) inside the meter directs the gas into laminar (streamlined) flow. In this region, the Poiseuille equation indicates that the volumetric flow rate is linearly related to the pressure drop across a fixed distance of the LFE. This, along with the gas's viscosity, is used to accurately determine the volumetric flow rate. The meter includes separate absolute temperature and pressure sensors that correct the volumetric flow rate to standard conditions.
