RDD08 series is designed for railway applications and complies with EN50121-3-2, the EMC standard for rolling stock apparatus. This series complements our existing RDC20/30 and RDQ150/150 ranges.  The units are rated up to 8 Watts output power and accept two wide input voltage ranges. The 24VDC nominal models accept an input from 13V to 70VDC and the 110VDC nominal versions have an input range of 42V to 176VDC. There are 7 different output models for each input range with both single and dual outputs available. Output voltages include single 3.3V, 5V, 12V, or 15VDC and dual output versions of ±5V, ±12V and ±15VDC. All models include a remote on/off pin, overvoltage, overload and short circuit protection. The efficiency of the range is up to 86%. The RDD08 series is packaged in a small DIP24 metal case that measures only 1.25 x 0.8 x 0.4" (31.8 x 20.3 x 10.2mm) and has a PCB pin mount. Using convection cooling the converters have a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C with full load to 70°C and a maximum case temperature of 105°C. The converters provide an isolation voltage of 3000VDC from input to output.
